Translating the academic excellence of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar into reality, Kanica zoomed to the first position in the B.A.B.Ed (integrated) Semester I result of Guru Nanak Dev University by securing 382 (76.4%) out of 500 marks. The result of the college has been 100% in this four-year integrated course which is being run in the college since the last two years in a highly successful way. It is a matter of immense pride for the college that the students of this course have been illumining the name of the college by bagging the first position in the university results since the last two years in a row. Last year (2019-2020) Arshpreet of Semester I stood first in the University. The icing on the cake was that the third, sixth, seventh, tenth and thirteenth university positions had also been secured by the students of the college. Here it is worth mentioning that students securing the first university position are felicitated with the 24 Carat Satya Prem Gold medal by the college. The great curiosity and huge rush of the students in this course is due to the fact that it enables the students to get a decent teaching job by earning a BA B.Ed degree within four years, thus saving their one precious year. In the whole region, PCM S.D. College for Women is the only girls college that offers this much sought-after B.A.B.Ed (integrated) course. On the exceptional academic feat of the student, the management and the worthy Principal of the college Dr. (Mrs.) Pooja Prashar congratulated her and wishing for her bright future maintained that such exceptional results could have been possible because of the highly qualified, dedicated and innovative faculty of the college who constantly mentor and guide the students for excellence in academics and co-curricular fields.
