Declamation held at PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar in collaboration with ‘Ved Prachar Mandal’






Declamation Competition was organized by Youth Club in collaboration with ‘Ved Prachar Mandal’. The function was presided over by Dr. Neeru Sharma, Principal of Pt. Mohanlal S.D. College for Women, Gurdaspur. The distinguished guest of the function Shri Dhruva Mittal, President, Guru Virjanand Gurukul College and Shri Ashok Paruthi, (Advocate), Registrar of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha. Punjab commenced the event with lighting of the lamp. Dr. Shivdayal Mali, Shri Ranjit Arya, Shri Vinod Bhardwaj took the lucky draw. Shri Ajay Mahajan and Shri Dharampal Uppal (Kapurthala) commenced the contest by putting badges to the participants. Students of different colleges participated in this competition. Topics for declamation were ‘ Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati’, Mata Pita Ate  Guru Da Aadar, Savtantar Andolan Wich Arya Samaj di Bhumika, Sadachar Bina Gyan Aadhura,’ ‘Vasudev Kutumbhkumbh, Paryavaran aur Yagya,’ ‘Jab Aive Santosh Dhan Sab Dhan Dhur Saman, ‘ Hum Sabka ho ek sapna vahin jo samaj apna, dhara ka adhar nari, shubh karman te kabhun na daro, bhagya aur pursharth, yam niyam ka mahatav, Manas ki Jaat Sab, Eko Pehchanbo, Mobile Internet ka Sadupyog.

         Dr. Narinder Sandhu, Prof. Sarojini Saida and Dr. Mahima Khosla were the judges. Shri Jagdish Raj Raja, Chief Guest of the function addressed the students saying that such competition should be organized from time to time for moral upliftment of citizens.

Award of Appreciation

         In her presidential address, Principal Dr. Neeru Sharma said that the evils must be done away with. The chief Guest Shri Jagdish Raj Raja and Principal Dr. Neeru Sharma distributed prizes, certificates and books on vedic literature to the achievers. Principal Dr. Kiran Arora expressed gratitude for the guests saying that such competitions on vedic literature keep alive the legacy and richness of our cultural heritage. Shri Jyoti Swaroop Kamboj, Kamal Bhushan Davar, representative of Ved Prachar mandal were also present. The winners of this declamation contest are as follows.

First Prize :   Kirat Kaur  from MGN College of Education, Jalandhar
Second Prize : Daminipreet Kaur  from Pt. Mohanlal S.D. College, Gurdaspur
Third Prize :  Pawanpreet Kaur from Kanya Mahavidyala  and Poonam from Khalsa College, Jalandhar
