Youth
Club of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar celebrated Lohri Festival in
collaboration with Dainik Jagran. Mr. Varinder Singh Walia, Editor, Punjabi
Jagran, Mr. Neeraj Sharma, G.M., Jagran group, Mr. Ajay Jairath, AGM, Punjabi
Jagran Manch, Mr. Hanish, AGM, Punjabi Jagran were present on this occasion.
Lohri is celebrated in Punjab with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students of the
college reminisced the rich culture of Punjab by singing fold songs. They
performed Gidha. A holy bonefire was lit after which sweets were distributed on
this occasion. Principal Dr. Kiran Arora presented a momento to the guests and
congratulated all. Dr.(Mrs.) Neena Mittal also congratulated staff members and
students.
