PG Department of Fashion Designing of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organizes UGC-sponsored International Conference

An International Conference sponsored by the UGC was organized by the Department of Fashion Designing on the topic ‘Mode Ethique’. Joint Secretary of the Managing Committee, Sh. Vinod Dada Ji and Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora initiated the day with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp after which the Principal    welcomed the guests with her benevolent words. Head of the Department, Mrs. Sunita Bhalla underscored the relevance of the conference. Dr. A.K. Chaudhary, Associate Professor (Textile Technology Department, NIT, Jalandhar) served as the Resource Person wherein he emphasized the use of eco-friendly products in an attempt to preserve environment. Prof.(Dr.) Samrendra Sharma (Vice-Chancellor, Arni University, Himachal Pradesh) was the Chief Guest. A journal named ‘Mode Ethique’ was also released on the day. Dr. P. Baburaj (Associate Professor and Research Co-ordinator, Post Graduate Department of English, Royal University of Bhutan), Dr. Poonam Thakur, Principal, NIIFT, Mohali, Dr. Jai Singh (Assistant Professor, Department of Indian World Literatures, The English and Foreign Language University, Hyderabad) and Mrs. Krishi Sarin (Junior Consultant Footwear Design and Development Institute, Research scholar at G.D. Goenka University, Noida) were the speakers of the Technical session. Mrs. Shikha Puri held the stage.
