PCM SD Collegiate Senior Secondary School organizes Poster Making on occasion of Women's Equality Day.

 

 

 

Poster Making was held in PCM SD Collegiate Senior Secondary School to commemorate Women's Equality Day. Students of varied streams of +1 and +2 participated with sheer gusto and unparalleled exuberance. Mitanshi was bestowed with an award for excellence for her exemplary achievement. Jaspreet Kaur of +1 nailed it to first position, Yashpal Kaur made it to second position and Ritika managed it to third position. Simranjeet of +2 clinched it to first position, Divpriya second and Chahat Ghai grabbed third position. Vanshika, Rashmi and Shruti were conferred with consolation prizes. Esteemed members of the managing committee and Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Pooja Prashar lauded the students for yielding such phenomenal results in the competition. Principal also extolled Mrs Sangita Sharma, Incharge of the School Block, whose painstaking endeavours panned out well. She also maintained as to how such competitions effectively engender ingenious and immaculate skills in students, which is the need of the hour in their holistic and comprehensive development.

 

 

Covid-19 Vaccination Camp at PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar

 

To safeguard the lives of the students and members of the staff and ensure good health for all during the ongoing Covid Pandemic, the Youth Club of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Covid-19 vaccination camp in the college campus in collaboration with the Alpha Mahendru Foundation. In this camp, more than 200 students, members of the staff and nearby residents were administered Covaxin doses. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. R.L Basan, a Retired Civil Surgeon and witnessed the active participation of Mr. Ramesh Mahendru, President of the Alpha Mahendru Foundation, Mr. Jaswinder Singh Dheeraj, the General Secretary, Mr. Rajesh Sammi, the Vice President, Mr. Manoj Tandon and Mr. Gurjit, the respected members of the foundation. Here it is worth mentioning that earlier also the college has organized two Covid-19 vaccination camps, one of which was in association with the Alpha Mahendru Foundation.   Honouring Dr. R.L.Basan as a special guest of the event and communicating gratitude towards the Alpha Mahendru Foundation for its pro-active role in the organization of the camp, the worthy Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Pooja Prashar on behalf of the visionary Management and dynamic staff of the college assured of the whole-hearted participation of the college in all the upcoming programmes and activities of the Alpha Mahendru Foundation for the welfare of the community. She also applauded all the members of the college Youth Club for the successful conduct of the vaccination camp.

 

PCM SDites manage to be on crest of a wave in Beauty and Body Fitness Semester II result

 

Result of Beauty and Body Fitness Semester II was declared and the students of our college made a mark for themselves. Shilpi Johri aced it to first position in college by securing 90%. Pooja Mittal nailed it to second position and Mansi Kashyap made it to third position by securing 89% and 86% respectively. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Pooja Prashar and the members of the managing committee felicitated the students for earning kudos to the name of the institution. Principal also acknowledged the attempts of the department of Cosmetology under whose auspices the students could make it to such spectacular results.
