PCM S.D. Collegiate Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar Students Bring Laurels in the National Level Commerce Talent Search Exam

 

 

 

 

Upholding the tradition of excellence in academics, the 10+1 and 10+2 Commerce students of PCM S.D. Collegiate Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jalandhar have proved their metal in the 14th National Level Commerce Talent Search Exam (2019-2020) organized by the Commerce Talent Search Examination Foundation. In this Talent Search Exam, Ishita, Jiya and Savleen Kaur of 10+1 stood first, second and third respectively. Similarly, Vipasha Khurana, Laxmi Arora and Harmanpreet Kaur of 10+2 stood first, second and third respectively. Here it is worth mentioning that Commerce Talent Search Exam by CTSE is a good platform for 10+1 and 10+2 Commerce students to compete at the National level and helps them in scoring good marks in their board exams besides making them prepared for various competitive exams. This exam is held every year. Jubilant at the exceptional success of the PCM S.D. Collegiate Senior Secondary School students in this exam, the worthy Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Arora congratulated the students on their success and wished for their bright future. The Principal also praised the efforts of the in-charge of the school Mrs. Sangeeta Sharma for the overall development of the students of the school by encouraging them to participate in such National level academic events.

 

Patriotic Song Competition by PCM S.D College of Women, Jalandhar on Republic Day

 

 

 

 

The youth club of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar organised an online patriotic song competition on the occasion of Republic Day. The students from different streams show cased their talent in an impressive way by sending the videos of patriotic songs from their homes. These were judged by the head of the Music Department, Mrs. Anu Malhotra. Tanisha (B.Com Sem. 1) stood first, Puneet Kaur (B.Com Sem 1) remained second and Khushi Sharma (B.Con Sem. 1) bagged third position in the competition. In addition to this, consolation prize was awarded to Swati Sharma of B. Com Sem 1 of Financial Services. The worthy Principal Dr. Mrs. Kiran Arora applauded the students for being so talented and congratulated them on their success and wished for their bright future.

 

Lecture on Physical Health by Dr Sandeep Kaur Chawla at PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar

 

 

The Youth Club of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized a lecture by Dr. Sandeep Kaur Chawla, the head of the Department of Physiology at Guru Nanak Dev Hosipital, Sunaam. In this lecture, Dr. Chawla sensitized the students regarding how to address the health issues usually faced by them in their routine life. She guided that women can get rid of most of the physical ailments through regular exercise and maintenance of physical hygiene. She further suggested that we should bring changes in our life-style with the passage of time. In addition, she addressed each and every question raised by the students and clarified their queries. The worthy Principal of the college Dr. Mrs Kiran Arora thanked the guest for such an informative lecture. On the whole, the lecture proved utterly beneficial to students as it enlightened them regarding the ways to achieve good health. On this occasion, all the members of the college Youth Club and members of the faculty were present.
