Mehak of M.Com Sem 4 of PCM S.D. College for Women Sparkles in University results

The GNDU result of M.Com Sem 4th of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar has been remarkably outstanding. Mehak bagged Sixth position in the University by scoring 1792 out of 2200 marks. Not only this, twelve students of this class namely Mehak, Nikita, Manmeet Kaur, Rohini, Neena, Sonia Sharma, Mansi, Sakshi Gupta, Monika, Simrandeep Kaur, Twinkle and Dilpreet kaur got extinction. This is worth mentioning that result of M.Com. Sem 4th of the college has been 100 percent. Jubilant at these results, Principal Dr. Kiran Arora applauded the students and praised the Department of Commerce for these spectacular results and wished for the bright future of the meritorious students.

 

Himanshi of B.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester VI of PCM SD College for Women secures hat trick

 

 GNDU result of B.Sc Fashion Designing Semester – VI was declared. It is indeed a crowning achievement of our institution that Himanshi secured first position in University, having already maintained it since three consecutive years by getting 2714/3000 marks. Sheeba made it to fourth position with 2674/3000 marks. Mandeep Kaur gets sixth position and Gurpreet managed it to seventh position by securing 2639/3000 and 2624/3000 marks respectively. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora maintained that such accomplishments are indeed a feather in our cap.

PG Department of Fashion Designing of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar holds two-day Diwali Exhibition cum Sale ‘Diwali Fiesta 2020’

PG Department of Fashion Designing, PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized a two day Diwali Exhibition cum Sale ‘Diwali Fiesta 2020’. Students from B.Sc., B.Voc and PG Diploma participated with full zest and zeal. The students of Bsc 1^st Semester exhibited a wide range of handmade wall hangings and hand painted creative diyas. Students of B.Sc. 3^rd Semester displayed products like hand made torans and candles. Colourful and sparkling diyas were showcased by the students of B.Voc III and V semester. The sale from the exhibition brought a good amount of earning’s to students who created those products. The main agenda behind this exhibition was to promote Swadeshi and traditional products of Indian heritage. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora appreciated the efforts of the students for keeping the spirit high for Diwali celebration even in these tough times of Covid epidemic. Principal Madam also congratulated and praised the Head, Mrs. Sunita Bhalla and faculty members for organizing this Diwali exhibition. Students were also applauded by other staff members for putting efforts in producing traditional and creative handmade products.

 

PCM S.D. College for Women Organizes Dance Competition

 

The Dance Department of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized an online dance competition. In this competition, students from different streams of the college participated enthusiastically. They showcased their exceptional talent in Classical dance, Bhangra, Western and Punjabi remix. In this competition, the first position was bagged by Khushi of B.A. Sem. I and Nisha of B.A. Sem. V, the second by Prachi of B.A. Sem. I and Muskan of B.A. Sem. III and the third by Ritika of B.A. Sem. V. The Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Arora congratulated the Department of Dance for the successful conduct of the event and extended her best wishes to the participants. The in-charge of PCM S.D. Collegiate School for Girls, Jalandhar also congratulated the students on their respective achievements.
