Students of B.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester-IV outperformed in May 2019 GNDU exams. Himanshi nailed it to the first position by securing 932/1000 marks. GNDU Result of B.Com Semester II May 2019 of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar was exceptionally brilliant. It is a matter of esteemed pride that Kanize Fatima bagged first position by securing 567/700 marks. She has indeed raised the bar of excellence with her ground breaking accomplishment. Kiran made it to the tenth position be securing 540/700 marks. Manishu got 33^rd position and Mansi 43^rd position by securing 75.85% and 74.85% respectively. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora applauded the merit holders for leaving no stone unturned.

PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar celebrates 20th anniversary of Victory of Kargil War

The NCC department of our college celebrated 20 years of victory of Kargil War. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora was the Chief Guest of the event. It commenced with the chanting of patriotic songs, subsequent to which Senior Under Officer, Aman eulogized the relentless valour and sacrifice of the deceased soldiers. A film was also shown on the occasion. The NCC Cadets took an oath of safeguarding the nation and its people and to always stand at their disposal. Lieutenant Priya Mahajan, Girls Cadet Instructor, Parvati Chauhan and Subedar Shri Vinod Kumar also witnessed the event.

Outstanding Result of M.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester – IV of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar

Students of M.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester –IV performed remarkably well in May 2019 GNDU Examination. Daljeet Chauhan secured 2013/2200 marks, Suman secured 2007/2200 marks and each received distinction. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora commended the achievers.

It is an absolute proud moment for our institution that the students of M.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester – II outperformed in May 2019 GNDU Examination. Dolly sixth position in the University and first in the college by securing 522/550 marks. Prabhdeep Kaur nailed it to the second position be securing 503/550 marks. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora applauded the students and the department for their endeavours. 

PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar celebrates Income Tax Day

The PG Dept. of Commerce & Management celebrated 24^th July as the Income Tax Day. The main motive behind the celebration of the day was to propagate the importance of paying tax. The speaker on the occasion was Mrs. Priya Mahajan, Assistant Professor in Commerce, The students were explained about the mechanism of filling tax return. Another objective was to do away with the perception that income tax is a financial burden on us. It was highlighted that the tax system is in fact for the betterment and development of the nation, which has a positive impact directly as well as indirectly on us. The tax paid by us is used in delivering more facilities like education, medicine, defence and infrastructure to us. The bottom line of the whole seminar was basically to emphasise that tax is like a Karma = “What goes around, comes around.”

        Mrs. Alka Sharma, Head Department of Commerce, Mrs. Shikha Puri, Incharge Commerce Club and other faculty members and the students of the department of Commerce were part of the seminar. Principal Dr. Kiran Arora appreciated the efforts of the department for celebrating such days.

B.Sc.(Non Medical) Semester VI result declared; Kajal Kapoor of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar made it to University merit list

GNDU Result of B.Sc.(Non Medical) Semester –VI was remarkably outstanding. Kajal Kapoor carved a niche for herself by securing 1931/2400 marks and also made it to the university merit list. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora said that such achievements have always been the hallmark of this institution which is immensely of its diligent students.
